A New Adventure Awaits
Tomorrow is my last day at Sacramento State. I have recently made the exciting (and scary!) decision to become a PR consultant. This wasn’t a decision I made lightly — I’ve thought about it on and off for the last five years, but FEAR always held me back. However, after serious consultation with my loved ones, mentors, and close friends, I decided it was finally time to make my move.
Someday soon I will share with you how and why I arrived at this decision, but, in the meantime, I want to relish my last few days of working as an employee for an excellent public university. I feel fortunate to have worked over the last few years with so many incredible people — people who really care about our students, and the role our university plays in the region at large. Even though I won’t work at Sac State any longer, I will still be rooting for their success and shouting “Stingers up” (our mantra) when I run across an employee or recent graduate. I will always be a member of the Hornet Family.
So today I say goodbye to this chapter and hello to a new adventure — onward and upward, as they say. I’m ready. — Elisa
